Happy Birthday Shawn

Today is Shawn's 2nd Birthday. We had a full but fun day. Shawn actually slept in today. He woke up at 9:30am. I was kinda just waiting for him to wake up this morning so I could sing happy birthday to him. He is so cute when he sleeps. Of course he is in our bed not his.

After breakfast we went to party city to order the balloon's for his party. Then headed down to Grandma's house. To see Uncle Dan. Of course he was not home but his skateboard was.

We hung out there for a little bit so he could ride his bike. Then we went to subway for lunch and headed down to Salt Creek Beach with Kari,Alexa and Gabi.

Shawn decided that his water bottle made a great sand toy. He loves to dig in the sand. Unlike me who loved the water and hated the sand. Shawn likes the water to however only if I go in with him. He likes to go out far in the ocean. It kinda scares me even though I am completely comfortable swimming in the ocean but with Shawn in my arms I'm a little apprehensive.

On the way home from the beach Shawn fell asleep. He napped till about 7pm then he headed over to Chuck E Cheese's. Here is Zach with his 4 dollar chuckie beer.

Can't believe my baby knows how to play video games. I guess he's not so much of a baby anymore. This is going to be a pretty crazy weekend. Shawn and I will probably nap all Monday. But whatever he had a great day. And Sunday will be even better. We can't wait!

Swiming With Gabi & Alexa

On Wednesday after our playdate at the park. We were suppose to meet Kari, Gabi and Alexa and the YMCA pool. Kari and I thought it would be a good idea because they have a wadding pool for the kids. And we thought it would give us a bit of a break and time for us to talk. Kari and I can easily talk about nothing for hours. Anyways Kari had called the Y to get the info on the pool and she was told they take credit cards. I had spent my cash at lunch and just figured I would use my debit card at the pool. When we got there we found out there was a ten dollar min. to use your card. Well considering our total bill between the 2 of us was like 4.50 it didn't make sense to us. So we decided to drive up the street and go to my mom's pool. The kids ended up having a great time. And at least I know my mom's pool is way cleaner than the YMCA'S wadding pool. Here is Gabi wrapped up in one of my towels. She is so cute. I think she likes those towels because they are really small and she can carry it around. Shawn and Gabi have so much fun together. She is so petite she is only 5 months younger than Shawn but she is tiny.

Here is Alexa jumping off the waterfall. I swear she is the tallest 7 year old I have ever seen. Shawn really got a kick out of watching her jump in. She was doing all sorts of funny things as she was jumping in to make Shawn and Gabi laugh. Alexa said she cant wait to come back to Shawn's Grandma's house on Sunday for his party.

Melinda Park Playdate

On Wednesday we went to a playdate at Melinda Park in Mission Viejo. We got there at 11am and it was pretty warm outside. Shawn decided to go barefoot. Its like he knows its summer. These past few weeks he has been refusing to wear his shoes. And usually his clothes too!

For those of you who don't see Shawn often you can see how tall he actually his. He can easily lookout the top of the play sturcture. He use to have to stretch to look out those holes.

Shawn loves to swing. Here he is swinging with Lelia. You can see how hot it was by Shawn's wet hair and red cheeks. Lelia was hot too! But they were so happy to be swinging next to each other. I was pushing both of them trying to keep them side by side. You can see Nancy (Lelia's Mom) sitting in the nice shade with her baby Erik. And Jen sitting with Peanut. Peanut wasn't too interested in playing. She was just happy to be in her stroller eating her pea's watching all the other kids play. I only wish I could get Shawn to sit still in his stroller and eat at the park. We had a great time!

Here are a few pictures of Shawn and Bully on Sunday night. They were so cute together all cuddled up on the couch watching "family guy". Yeah I know we are doing such a good job raising the future.

Happy Anniversary To Us!

TOday is our first anniversary. So crazy this year has gone by so fast....Even though sometimes it feels like we have been married for 20 years. We have just been hanging out today. Took Shawn to the pool now he is napping, I think he is totally wiped out from Grandad's bday party last night. We are going to drop Shawn off at my mom's later and go down to the harbor to have dinner. Here is a slideshow from our wedding. Our wedding was pretty fun. But I think we can both agree we are glad we dont have to do it ever again.

Grandad's Birthday Party!

On Saturday afternoon we went to Zach's Dad's birthday party. It was in their backyard. Lots of nice people, good food and it turned out to be a beautiful day. My mom drove up with us. Zach's brother Chris was there with us girlfriend Veronica, a handful of their close friends. A couple friends from Dallas, neighbors and some really nice people from Holland's work.

Here is Holland opening some of his gifts. We got him a Dallas Cowboys Authentic Tony Romo Jersey. He seemed to really like it.

Here is Shawn with a couple of other little boys who were there. That boy who I didnt catch his name is 3 1/2 years old. He was blowing bubbles for Shawn. Shawn was so cute running around the yard yelling "bubble, bubble!"

They had a pool set up for the kids. Unfortunately the kids discovered how to empty the pool. And had fun doing so!

They also had a horseshoes game set up. Shawn was determined to get that stake out of the ground and turn it into a sword.

This is what the pool looked like when we got there. Holland and Candy do such a good job making sure there are fun things for Shawn to do at their house. They also do a good job keeping their yard beautiful. They both have green thumbs for sure. We just had a great time and we were happy we got to spend the day with Holland on his birthday. Unfortunately my camera died right at cake time. Shawn was right up by the cake as usual with a big smile on his face. Of course thinking everyone was celebrating for him. Thank God his birthday is next week and we can finally party for him

Mall Playdate

Today we went to a playdate at the mission viejo mall with, Peanut, Savannah, Leila and Eric. After playing we all ended over to the food court. Shawn had a fun time.

Shawn love's to climb on those balls. I remember when I first brought him there to play when he was 10 months old. And I had to stay right by him to make sure no one jumped on him. Now im saying "Shawn be careful for little babies."

playdate

Today we went to a playdate at Jen&Peanut's house. Shawn just loves going there . They have alot of toys there. We have alot toys at home but for some reason its more fun to play with his friend's toys. They served hotdogs and fruit. Jen filled Peanut's sandbox with water and the babies played in that. (such a good idea)Here is Shawn with Savannah. Savannah is so cute and she loves the water.

Here is Leila and Savannah. Leila's Mommy didn't bring her bathing suit, but that didn't stop Leila. Shawn had a great time at his playdate. He was asleep in the car within 5 minutes. It couldn't be from his late night out last night?
